I know I say this all the time, but I can't believe how quickly time flies out here, our Alpha groups have already finished their second phase and as we speak are heading back to Fieldbase from all over Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Most of the groups have spent the last few days at the beach, and you'll be pleased to hear it has stopped raining and they have all been enjoying some well deserved sunshine and R&R before heading back.
So it's a mad rush around Fieldbase for the four of us, Natalie,Ross Laura and me, as we prepare for all 125 (I think) people arriving back throughout the day - it's going to be manic, but I can't wait to see everyone again and hear about all the fabulous things they've been doing. We'll get some more pics, project summaries and other exciting updates, such as phase three allocations up during the next few days and I'm sure you can all expect to get lots of emails and phone calls from your loved ones too!
Thanks again for all the wonderful messages, it really does mean so much to everyone out here.

Can I just add though that post takes about three weeks to get here, packages longer, so you will need to send things straight away if you want them to arrive on time before everyone leaves (yes, only just over three weeks left, how scary is that?!). Please don't send any parcels now or anything later than about Wednesday this week as I don't think they'll arrive in time and I'd hate for people to not get them.

hope you are well i am back from ski trip and it was fab ! Im doing well with ma skiing i only fell over 7 times all week and that is including falling whilst stading still and falling when im not on skis! AND I DID NOT GET SICK ON THE COACH !!WOOP WOOOP! ;) They made up prizes for every one of the people there and i won sleepyest person casue i slept nearly the whole way there. im surprized i didnt win person who wore a hat the most!i managed to buy another hat when i was there too it is pink wiht a pom-pom on the top i think it is verrry cool

Nice to see another pic of you, looking forward to more when the group gets back to fieldbase.
I have had the most relaxingly quiet week with Lucy away!!! By Friday I had got rid of Dad too as he left for his trip to India. The getting ready (bike etc) got a bit stressful with lots of weighing of bags and repacking, so not over the airline limit. The weekend was just me and Roger - bliss! - Dad rang on Sunday to say he arrived safely and it is incredibly HOT, so I hope he copes OK. Will,s OK I think. He met up with friends in Stirling to celebrate his birthday. I sent him slippers for his present, how cool is that!
Have a good rest back at base before your trek.I sent you a parcel so I hope it arrives whist you are there. e.mail if you can.

Hows it going? You cant answer me- but i thought it would be polite to ask. I've just read that you only have three weeks left! Thats maddness! Hope ur building went well- and you fall through any roofs or anything (naughty lying farnell). How is ur fringe coping in the rain? Has humidity fringe changed to monsoon fringe (which i imagine to be much like sea fringe minus the sexy salt)? Im going to dinner with Clark and VD tonite- we shall collectively laugh at you from afar. Next weekend im going out to a school disco for mine and amys bday celebration- im whacking out the suspender belt and bunches along with my school tie! Remember how i used to go on about how shite my school is? well its being shut down! apparently the intake for year7 students for next year is 70! Wat ben je toch een stoere zeg! Niet normaal dat je je overal zo makkelijk doorheen slaat en dat je de vrolijkste van de groep genoemd wordt. Vind je echt een knapperd. En een keertje huilen hoort er gewoon bij, heb ik ook echt wel een paar keer gehad.... Soms waren het tranen van geluk en soms tranen omdat je het gewoon gehad had. Maar dat je het vet en top hebt, blijkt uit alles, mooi dat je zo'n positivo bent.
Hier gaat alles nog steeds goed, zoals altijd he... Ben nog steeds te verliefd op gekke Nina, met Paraicle zijn we bezig met een nieuw concept: Boheme de Zazou. Berust op een Franse beweging, die in de jaren 30 in Parijs voor creatieve vrijheid strijdde. Dat willen we dus nu in Amsterdam doen, het combineren van kunst , muziek, fashion en ga zo maar door... Wordt best cool dus.
Verder met vrij moeilijke Master bezig, vooral irritant dat ik nu merk dat de rest wel z'n best heeft gedaan de afgelpen 4 jaar en ik nu dus een stukje achterloop in m'n kennis en me soms een dommie voel...
Maar dat ben ik helemaal niet haha, dus ga even hard studeren en alsnog een 8 halen!
Zo werkt het nu eenmaal, als je iets wilt lukt het je ook! Daarom weet ik zeker dat je de komende 17 dagen met gemak door gaat komen!! Omdat je het wilt en daarnaast erin gelooft! Wijsheid komt met de jaren zeggen ze, maar jij weet dat nu al....

Hey just thought i'd tell you, i have handed my dissertation in today, feels good to have finished that and not have to worry about it anymore. Was great to talk to you last night if only for a little while, everthing is cool here, just missing you, had an ok 21st birthday, just finished my dissertation really, apparently the boys have got a big night lined up on thursday for my birhday and end of dissertations, could be messy. Hi Steph. Great to hear you while you were back at field camp. Hope you are enjoying La Cangreja. Lots happening at home. Matt played his last 2 games for uni this weekend - lost 3-1 v Southgate and lost 2-0 v Hampstead in glorious sunshine yesterday. Joe played a great game for Woking, first match this season he hasn't scored in! Didge is having a long overdue short back and sides tomorrow at Julie's. Zoe is off to Washington on Wednesday. Got her dollars today. Joe is off to La Plagne on Saturday. Trying to think of a nice place to take Mum while all you kids are at various corners of the planet! Footie and Rugby fest this weekend. The girls finish for Easter break in 3 days and Ellie is having a "rave" party with Kez-nightmare! It's Dad's do this weekend-Kevin and Lisa,Ruggins and the Broughs are staying. I went back to work yesterday- I had 2 wks off . I miss mum a lot but I talk regularly to Jo and Mark and Matt and it helps a lot-so does drinking wine in the evenings!!! We go skiinig on Easter Sunday and then we'll arrive back when you do.

How's the jungle? No 8-legged friends in your bed? Zose is going on a night tour of the war memorials in Washington tonight, and off to Arlington cemetery tomorrow. Joe is off skiing tomorrow to La Plagne. They are flying this year rather than coaching it. Mumso has done nothing but pack bags for all you kids it seems for the past 2 months! Mum and Matt went to the cabinet war rooms for her birthday. We all had dinner in Covent garden afterwards. Guess who got caught shoplifting in Tesco in Brooklands? John Terry's mum! How embarrassing, eh? You might like to know Inge is head girl, Ben Scott head boy and Jamie Banurji deputy head boy. We are battening down the hatches in the City for a huge anti-banking riot to coincide with the G20 meeting in London on 1st April. Gordon Brown is in Santiago believe it or not, drumming up support for his next loser scheme. Joe got his beret and his one-star from Cadets this week. He was very proud. Sarn told him to get his hair cut! Lol. We all love you loads and miss you. Hope everything's good with you. We're following the blog and looking forward to hearing all about your adventures soon.
