    To Ross Skinner (XRAY5)

Loved the pictures of you swimming in the pacific - a first for this family. Good to see a picture of your smiling face back at base camp - d.d.g as usual! So you'll be joining the family tradition of water engineering for a couple of weeks. Neal is back in the valley for the weekend so going to the sapphire spheroid for dinner tonight - enjoy the rice and beans. We're all looking forward to hearing all about it and seeing the photos.

Lots of love Mum, Dad and Neal XXX

Hier in A'dam gaat alles goed.

Hi Delun, just got off the phone to you! Lovely to hear your voice after all this time-cant wait to see you in a couple of weeks. Hope u enjoy phase 2. You are fitter and toougher than me or Stu and we could do it, so we are in no doubt that if u r well enough you'll do it dim problem o gwbl! You make Costa Rica sound amazing and we wish we were there. Stuart feels ill after ire nite party in lynn's-but only because he ate too much! So he's not getting sympathy from me! In fact I overate too!
Nos da for now, STu says to remind you that we are missing u, love u to bits and are very proud of u as you know! Will send u lots of updates withbour news, but the raleigh blogs are far more exciting than our news! Cara said she could feel the adrenalin reading your message! The trek sounds really inspirational-enjoy, and take extra care. Sort out any problems before they become serious. Only do what u feel u can. Love you absolutely tonnes! Looking forward to the next blog and, we hope, a good set of photos! X x x

Hi Em, how is it going? I'm really looking forward to hearing about how the trek is going and how you are coping with the snakes and spiders in the jungle!! I'll know who to ask now when Nick needs a spider removing from the house!
We had a fun bonfire night and went to Lynda's house for dinner. We'd bought some fireworks which after a few glasses of wine proved very difficult to light and were a bit pathetic when they went off, gave us a laugh though.
Hope you are well and I know you'll be making the most of it. Love and miss you loads.
Take care.Love Mum, A and Nick sends his love too xxx

Hope you are having a great time chasing the turtle nests - I'm really happy that you are on that trip. What sort of turtles nest there - leatherbacks? Seems like you'll get to work on the suntan on the beach at the same time (don't take it too easy though..). Was that the beginnings of a beard that I spotted in the photo? If so, you had better shave it off before you see Katie. Talking of Katie - she is coming over this weekend and we are all going to the fireworks at Ely and probably a curry afterwards. Caitlin wants to talk girly things with Katie - frightening eh?
Anyway, have a fantastic time - it was great to talk on Skype the other night. Love you lots and look forward to seeing you soon. Dad, Nic and the little one.

  25. Delun Jones X-ray 2

    Hi Del!
Hope you're enjoying your trek. Finally found a photo of you on here, took me ages!
Saw Carys on wednesday, we just went to the miskin arms for a drink and a catch-up which was nice. Didn't realise what the time was till they rang the bell for last orders and we realised it was 11 o'clock! :)
Really looking forward to 4 counties now, and I've found out we're playing the St Paul's Suite in strings which I played in Friday nights and it's lush! There's a viola solo in it though, so Catherine is panicking in true Catherine style! Me telling her that she'll be fine doesn't seem to make a difference as usual! :P
Had an Inset day in work yesterday, it was really weird having to go in with no kids. It was a training course about teaching maths, seriously boring! We were acting like naughty kids all day, Leon was chucking sweets at Kerry-Ann's head and Rhodri hid the meithrin departments sweets in the piano and was passing them clues on post-it notes all morning! I swear, if the kids behaved like that we would have gone nuts! So I've come to the conclusion that all teachers are hypocrites! :P
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trek and I'll send you another blog soon.

    Cariad Mawr,

    Siwan xxx
