SSSSSSSSalsa!

After the trials and tribulations of the previous twenty four hours, there was only one way to convey one’s feeling of celebration – through the medium of dance. Hosted by Host Country Coordinator, Keiner, and VM, Daniel; a master class of all things salsa followed, with the HCVs on hand to provide demonstrations, tips and pointers, and an ability to make this writer all too aware that he has as much rhythm as a lump of rubble up on Volcan Turrialba. I am by no means alone there... Uptake on the whole however was impressive, and before long Mambos, Cucarachas, Cocos and Coquittos were executed with the exuberance of Harry Judd on Strictly.

Today is a diurnal course predominantly focused towards tomorrow’s departure for phase one. So soon? I hear you cry. Indeed it is so. Tools are being sourced and sharpened; bags packed, emptied and repacked with solely essentials (embrace the aroma on trek) and excitement is reaching fever pitch in anticipation of tonight’s BBQ and party send off.

Hej! Just got back from a VERY cold and snowy walk in Brasenose Woods. Oslo got snow stuck in her paws and all over her coat and did her usual 'air swimming' thing in the snow... loved it! We are enjoying the blog. Yeah what fun! Good luck with the trek, go for it & can't wait to see photos and hear news. Big hugz from Mum and Dad xxx

Good to know you are all safe and having a wonderful time and meeting new friends. You can get yourself a local simcard if you can't pick up the Network. (It is called AT and T.) Not sure if it the same in Nicaragua or Mexico but I am sure there are people who know. We had and still have a lot of snow so it is great to be outdoors. I do miss you but happy you are on a big adventure!

    For Azelle Egbe Alpha 1

Hi Zee, we're glad to know you're enjoying yourself.
That's a lovely picture of you with the rest of your group.
It's still very cold and icy here and the bag of salt came in very handy this afternoon.

The stray ginger cat hasn't been seen since the cold snap. We hope it is alive and well somewhere warm.

Your proud mother successfully worked the sky remote yesterday when the TV screen went blank. She did not panic, but simply pressed the right buttons just as you showed her and, by some act of magic the tv screen came back to life. You won't forget to buy her a present will you?

Madu and Ify hope you are enjoying yourself. Your bruv hopes you are having the time of your life. Aunty Ucha, Uncle Ken and the twins send their love.

    Take care and God bless.

Lots and lots of love from Mum and Dad.

    Hello
The birthday cards are rolling in, first up from R & J. Not sure how aware of dates you will be in the jungle but Happy Day for Weds. Perhaps you can have an extra energy bomb - without the raisins? Though taste buds can change. Thinking of you

    love
