Current weather conditions: Stormy after a beautiful sunny day
Today saw the arrival of 27 venturers from the UK, Ireland, Holland, Germany and Hong Kong. After a hearty breakfast of rice and beans, fried plaintain and scrambled egg, venturers were straight out to the local pool for swim tests, admin and medics sessions. They have just returned back to field base (soaking wet but smiling!) after a remote radio exercise with the project managers.

We also welcomed 3 Costa Rican Host Country Venturers (HCVs) last night who enjoyed a Raleigh version of 'Ready, Steady, Cook' with the VMs. Culinary delights included a starter of dried crackers with mashed chickpeas and a dessert of spaghetti and banana...yum.

Hi folks!
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing out there?
Nice to read some words about the first phase of the expedition.
As Noud's closest family we will of course be following the stories on your blog every day.
Hope the wheather will not be too wet. But some rain can give some relief in the tropical heat...
Anyhow we wish you guys a lot of fun!
Regards,
Ernst-Jan Louwers
