New Project allocations

It’s project allocation time again and the groups said goodbye to their Alpha groups and hello to their new X-ray groups. The pm’s entertained everyone with their presentations, which saw among other things some disturbingly convincing cross-dressing from Ed, Guido and Clint, a water downing competition between Sandeep and Guy, and Zoe, Becca and Tara strutting their stuff as Charlie’s Angels. So here are the brand new X-ray Groups….

X-Ray 1, along with pm's Sandeep and Guy, will be heading off to Nicaragua for the Maribios trek, which will see them climb 2 volcanos andwalk over 200 kilometres.

X-ray 1 (from l to r): Guy, Margarita, Keir, Reina, Urania, Wellard, Christine, Alex, Sabina, Simon, Riz, Rob, Aurelia and Sandeep.


Not to be outdone, X-ray 2 with pm's Guido and Clint will also be donning their walking boots and heading off on the coast to coast trek, walking all of the way from the Pacific coast to the Caribean in just 19 days.

Pms Sheila and Rich will be taking X-ray 3 to the jungle in La Cangreja national park, where they will continue Alpha 3s excellent work building paths in order to make the park more accesible to both researchers and the general public.

X-Ray 3 are Gabo, Daniela, Clint, Sam W, Anneli, Giannina, Sam, Matthew N, Ailsa, Matthew P, Ian, Vicky, Oliver and Sheila

Going to Camaronal to continue the turtle and step building projects are X-ray 4 with pm's Dania, Norman and Dev .

X-ray 4: Tara, Noah, Lawrence, Laura, Jack, Hamish, Gemma, Felix, Cesar, Dev, Dania, Claire, Emma, Toni and Norman

Super medic Sarah is returning to Acuapa to bring clean water to the community of La Cacao, joined by fellow pms Ed and Dani and the lovely members of X-ray 5.

X-ray 5 are Claire Watson, Maria Giselle, Catherine Spence, Benita Sabharwal, Erika Laguna, Betty Chivasa, Sarah Harris, Jake Palmart, Alvin Chan, Ben Rainthorpe, Ashley Riby, Patrick Boot and Thomas Fleischer (picture to be added shortly, having a few technocal problems sorry!)

And last but not least, X-ray 6, or the X-treme 6 as they call themselves, are off to Miraflor in the north of Nicaragua where they will finish the community centre started by alpha 6 in phase one. The X-treme pms are Zoe, Tara and resident artist Becca, who will be using her creative skills to help the group decorate the finished community centre.
