Zulu 5 update

At last, some long awaited photos of Zulu 5! The fieldbase team paid the group a visit, arriving just in time for the farewell party in El Cacao. The group have worked incredibly hard and have managed to complete the water project in El Cacao, leaving every house in the community with clean and safe water. The community showed their gratitude with a big party, including a pinata, speeches from both the community and the group and a delicious meal of chicken and rice, a rare treat for the group. There was also entertainment, with Achuapa's resident star and long time project partner Brigido treating the audience to some typical Nicaraguan music on his guitar and the group in turn performing a stunning rendition of 'Singing in the Rain'. Zulu 5 said their sad farewells to their friends in El Cacao, but were excited to go and start work in the nearby community of Matapalo, where they will be providing water to even more houses.

  1. He Tanne,
:) xx
